Installation Procedure

- Install the seat back. Refer to SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT - FRONT
.NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 4 nuts that secure the seat pan to the power seat adjuster frame.
Tighten
Tighten the seat pan mounting nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Install the SIR harness (2) to the seat clips (1,4).
- Connect the gray lumbar electrical connector (5), if equipped.
- Connect the black electrical connector (3) to the seat belt buckle.
- Connect the black electrical connector (6) to the seat back harness.
- Install the seat belt buckle to the seat with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt buckle nut to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
- Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to SEAT CUSHION OUTER TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT .
- Install the front bucket seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET .
