Installation Procedure

Position the sunshade to the vehicle from the top of the vehicle.
Install the retaining tabs on one side of the sunshade into the track slot of the sunroof.
Flex the center of the sunshade (2) upwards while simultaneously inserting the retaining tabs (3) into the track slot (1).

Ensure that the sunshade tabs are fully seated in the track slots, and the sunshade slides smoothly.
Install the water trough to the sunroof from the top of the vehicle.
NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Install the screws (1) that retain the water trough to the sunroof.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

Install the sunroof window. Refer to SUNROOF WINDOW REPLACEMENT .
