Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the headliner.
  1. Lower the headliner. Refer to INTERIOR TRIM  or INTERIOR TRIM  in Interior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the sunroof harness electrical connector.
    IMPORTANT: Do not remove the drain hoses.

  4. Disconnect the drain hoses from the sunroof assembly. Refer to the following procedures:
  5. Support the sunroof with an assistant.
  6. Remove the bolts that retain the sunroof module assembly to the roof panel
  7. Remove the sunroof module assembly from the vehicle and place on a clean, prepared surface with an assistant.

  9. Remove the sunroof motor/actuator from the sunroof module assembly. Refer to SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT   . 
  10. Remove the sunroof control module from the sunroof module assembly. Refer to SUNROOF CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT   . 
  11. Remove the sunroof window from the sunroof module assembly. Refer to SUNROOF WINDOW REPLACEMENT   . 
  12. Remove the sunroof sunshade panel from the sunroof module assembly. Refer to SUNROOF SUNSHADE PANEL REPLACEMENT   .
