Installation Procedure

- Install the weatherstrip/run channel to the door.
- Press the weatherstrip/run channel into the window frame opening.
- Position the tabs on the weatherstrip/run channel into the slots on the door.
- Attach the molding to the outside of the door with double sided tape.NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the weatherstrip/run channel retaining bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (88 lb in).
- Install the window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY, BRAVADA) or WINDOW REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR (TRAILBLAZER EXT, ENVOY XL) .
- Install the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
- Install the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR WINDOW BELT OUTER .
- Install the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR WINDOW BELT INNER .
- Install the trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR .
