Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR   . 
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR   . 
  3. Release the clip that retains the lock rod to the handle.
  4. Remove the lock rod from the handle.
  5. Remove the nut that retains the handle and bracket to the door.
  6. Remove the bracket from the handle.
  7. Remove the handle from the door.
