Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (GMC)  or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (OLDSMOBILE)  or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET)  in Exterior Trim.
  2. Using a grease pencil or other suitable marking device, mark the location of the latch on the mounting bracket.
  3. Remove the bolts that attach the latch to the mounting bracket.

  4. Disconnect the hood latch cable from the latch.
  5. Remove the latch from the vehicle.
