Inspection Procedure

  1. Release the primary hood latch in order to inspect the operation of the pop- up spring.
  2. Attempt to raise the hood while the hood is in the pop-up position.
    • The hood should raise without the hood striker binding against the latch.
    • The secondary latch should engage in order to prevent the hood from being raised.
