Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the IPC to the I/P.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the IPC.
  3. Install the IPC to the I/P.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the screws to the instrument panel cluster.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate, GMC or Oldsmobile only. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (CHEVROLET)   or TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (OLDSMOBILE)   . 
  6. Install the instrument panel cluster (IPC) bezel, Chevrolet only. Refer to BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (CHEVROLET)   or BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (GMC/OLDSMOBILE)   .

  7. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - KNEE BOLSTER   . 
  8. Install the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT   . 
  9. If installing a new IPC. Refer to REMOTE PROGRAMMING or PASS-THRU PROCEDURE or OFF-BOARD REMOTE PROCEDURE or OFF-BOARD PASS-THRU PROCEDURE .
