Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the center console to the vehicle.
  2. Adjust the parking brake to the full-up, or fully engaged position.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors as necessary.
  4. Lower the rear of the console and slide the console forward into position.
  5. Ensure that the 2 retaining ears on the front extensions of the console are fully engaged to the lower IP-Oldsmobile only.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the center console retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  8. Install the console storage compartment. Refer to CONSOLE STORAGE BIN REPLACEMENT   . 
  9. Install the center console shift lever bezel. Refer to CONSOLE SHIFT LEVER BEZEL REPLACEMENT (OLDSMOBILE)   . 
  10. Install the floor shift control knob.
  11. Install the rubber ash tray inserts and rubber mat to the console.
  12. Remove the bocks from the vehicle.
