Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the floor shift control.
  2. Install the console bracket to the vehicle.
  3. Loosely install all the fasteners that retain the console bracket to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

  5. Install the retaining nuts (1) to the center IP bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten nuts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

  6. Install the remaining fasteners that retain the console bracket to the vehicle.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  7. Connect the electrical connector to the park brake.
  8. Connect the electrical connector to the automatic transmission shift interlock solenoid.
  9. Connect the automatic transmission range selector cable.
  10. Install the center console. CONSOLE REPLACEMENT  
  11. Install the floor shift control knob.
  12. Remove the wheel blocks from the vehicle.
