Removal Procedure

- Remove the center console shift lever bezel (Oldsmobile only). Refer to CONSOLE SHIFT LEVER BEZEL REPLACEMENT (OLDSMOBILE) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the lower closeout/insulator panel (GMC only). Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) LOWER (GMC/CHEVROLET) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the accessory trim plate. Refer to BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (CHEVROLET) or BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (GMC/OLDSMOBILE) or TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (CHEVROLET) or TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (OLDSMOBILE) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
- Remove the 3 screws that retain the radio to the IP.
- Partially remove the radio disengaging the radio rear alignment locator (1) to gain access to the electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the radio antenna cable.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors to the radio.
- Remove the radio from the Vehicle.
