Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the wiper motor.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice   in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the 2 bolts retaining the motor to the liftgate.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  3. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
  4. Install the interior trim panel to the liftgate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  in Body Rear End.
  5. Install the spacer and the nut on the wiper motor drive shaft.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  6. Install the wiper arm. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT - REAR   .
