Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: The rain sensor retaining ring is permanently mounted to the windshield and is not serviceable. Damage to the windshield or the retaining ring will occur if removed.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rain sensor (1).
  2. Carefully pull downward on sensor (1) to release it from the retaining ring (2).
    IMPORTANT: Do not touch the surface of the sensor when it is removed from the glass.
  3. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.
