Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the seat on the floor studs. The seat should be in the folded position.
  2. Install the two rear nuts (2). Do not tighten the nuts.

  3. Unfold the seat to ensure that the seat latch (1) properly engages the latch bar (3) the floor.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the front two rear seat mounting nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the front rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  5. Fold the seat to the stowed position.
  6. Tighten the two rear seat mounting nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  7. Install the communication interface module if installing the right-hand rear seat. Refer to COMMUNICATION INTERFACE MODULE REPLACEMENT (TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY, BRAVADA) or COMMUNICATION INTERFACE MODULE REPLACEMENT (TRAILBLAZER EXT, ENVOY XL) in Cellular Communications.
