Conditions for Setting the DTC

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If the seat module detects that there is an open, short to ground or short to battery positive voltage on either control circuit while they are inactive, the seat module will set the DTC. If the seat module detects less than 1amp draw or a short to ground when the control circuit is active the DTC will set.
