Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the IPC to the IP.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the IPC.
  3. Install the IPC to the IP.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the screws to the instrument panel cluster.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the instrument panel (IP) accessory trim plate, GMC or Oldsmobile only. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Chevrolet)  or Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Oldsmobile) .
  6. Install the instrument panel cluster (IPC) bezel, Chevrolet only. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Chevrolet)  or Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (GMC/Oldsmobile) .
  7. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster .
  8. Install the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left .
  9. If installing a new IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Programming/Synchronization .
