Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the insulator panel to the IP.
  2. Install the hazard and turn signal flasher to the insulator panel. Refer to HAZARD AND TURN SIGNAL FLASHER REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.
  3. Install the splice pack to the insulator panel.
  4. Install the courtesy lamp to the insulator panel. Refer to COURTESY LAMP REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL in Lighting Systems.
  5. Position the DLC to the insulator panel.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the DLC retaining screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the DLC retaining screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  7. Install the insulator panel tabs to the cowl slots.

  8. Raise the insulator panel to the IP.
  9. Install the insulator panel retaining clip to the IP substrate.
  10. Install the 2 screws that retain the insulator panel to the IP.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
