Installation Procedure

Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the heater inlet pipe end, and the coolant pump.
Position the inlet heater hose to the vehicle.
Install the heater inlet hose to the heater pipe.
Using the J 38185 , install the heater inlet hose clamp.
Align the heater hose clamp as shown.
Install the heater inlet hose to the engine coolant pump.
Using the J 38185 , install the heater hose clamp.
Align the heater hose clamp as shown.

Install a new retaining strap (1) to retain the heater inlet hose (2) to the evaporator tube - front.
Position the retaining strap as shown.

Refill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
