Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  2. Fig 1: Radiator Inlet Hose

  3. Remove the radiator support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement .
  4. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp from the radiator using J 38185  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
  5. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
  6. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  8. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the forward lamp harness from the retaining clips on the shroud.

  11. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator using J 38185  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
  12. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Remove fan shroud.
