Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Upper Guide, Bolt & Seat Belt Retractor

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the upper retractor and attaching bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the upper retractor bolt to 41 N.m (31 lb ft).
Install the lower retractor and attaching bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the lower retractor bolt to 47 N.m (35 lb ft).

Install the lock pillar trim panel. Refer to Trim Replacement - Lock Pillar (Upper Convertible) or Trim Replacement - Lock Pillar (Coupe) or Trim Replacement - Lock Pillar (Lower Convertible and Hard Top) in Interior Trim.

Install the upper guide bolt and cover.
Tighten: Tighten the upper guide bolt to 41 N.m (31 lb ft).
Snap the cover closed.

Install the side sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
