Installation Procedure

Apply sealer, GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the upper corner of the roof side rail and to the rear of the main control link (2).

Position the retainer to the rear side rail.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the screws attaching the retainer to the rear side rail.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

Apply a bead of sealer, GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the upper and the lower corners of the side rail retainer.
Install the rear side rail weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Folding Top (Front and Center Side Rails) or Weatherstrip Replacement - Folding Top (Rear Side Rail) or Weatherstrip Replacement - Folding Top (Number Five Bow) .
Reposition the folding top to the original position.
