Installation Procedure

  1. Position the latch to the retainer and finger-tighten the bolts.
  2. Adjust the latch using the following procedures:
    • Adjust the latch up or down to make the lid flush.
    • Adjust the latch side to side gap from the lid to the quarter panels.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the latch bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the latch.
  5. Route the manual release cable down over the intermediate carpet. Position the end of the cable on the rear floor carpet.
  6. Refer To Compartment Lid Extension - Folding Top Stowage in Interior Trim.
  7. Close the lid and position the folding top to the original position.
