Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the #4 bow to the main control link bracket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the #4 bow screws to the main control link bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 13 N.m (10 lb ft).

  4. Position the top right side up and in a fully raised position.
  5. Staple the stay pad to the #4 bow.

  7. Install the headliner screws to the #4 bow.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Turn the top over.

  10. Install the rear window support elastic strap screws to the #4 bow.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m 18 lb in).

  11. Install the headliner elastic strap screws to the #5 bow

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  12. Install the headliner screws to the rear side rails.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  13. Install the glare cover end screws to the #5 bow.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  14. Before stapling the top cover to the #5 bow, Refer to Folding Top Cover Tension Adjustment - Rear .
  15. Install the folding top. Refer to Folding Top Replacement .
  16. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
