Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Position the main control link to the top.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the spacers and the screw attaching the main control link to the front side rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Install the spacers and the screw attaching the main control link to the center side rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  6. Adjust the end of the link adjuster (6) rod to match the marked position.
  7. Install the end screw to the main control link rod on the #5 bow (7).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  8. Install the screws to the control link brackets on the #2, 3, and 4 roof bows.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 13 N.m (9 lb ft).

  10. Install the headliner push-on retainers to the #1 bow.

  12. Install the attaching the headliner screws to the #1 bow.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  13. Install the glare cover to the #5 bow.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  14. Install the headliner screw to the rear side rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  15. Install the headliner elastic strap screw to the rear side rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  16. Install the folding top. Refer to Folding Top Replacement .
  17. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
