Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Top Cover At Roof Bows

Position the top cover over the roof bows.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Attach the top cover to the #2 bow with screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Attach the rear window support straps to the #4 bow.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
Rivet the flag end of the tension cable to the back side of the rear side rail.

Route the tension cables and install the cables to the #1 bow.
Tighten: Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Rivet the top cover flags to the side rails.
Rivet the top cover to the bottom of the rear side rail.
Assure that both sides of the rivet are flat so the rivet will not cut the top material or interfere with the seating of the retainer to the rear side rail weatherstrip. Before stapling the top cover to the #5 bow, Refer to Folding Top Cover Tension Adjustment - Rear .
Before stapling the top cover to the #1 bow, refer to Folding Top Cover Tension Adjustment - Front .
Install the weatherstrips and the weatherstrip retainers to the rear side rails. Refer to Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement - Folding Top (Front and Center Side Rail) or Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement - Folding Top (Rear Side Rail) .
Install the folding top. Refer to Folding Top Replacement
Position the folding top to the original position.
