Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment lift window.

  3. Remove the rear floor side stowage compartment cover.
  4. Remove the rear/end corner carpet trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Carpet Replacement - Rear Corner (Coupe) or Trim Panel Carpet Replacement - Rear Corner (Convertible) or Trim Panel Carpet Replacement - Rear Corner (Hardtop) in Interior Trim.
  5. Fig 2: Latch With Bracket At Rear Body Panel

  6. Disconnect the electrical harness.

    Remove the taillamps (for access to latch bracket nuts).

  7. Remove the nuts attaching the latch bracket.
  8. Remove the latch bracket with latch.
