Installation Procedure

  1. Position the latch with bracket to the rear body panel.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the nuts attaching the latch bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the latch bracket mounting nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical harness.

  6. Install the rear/end corner carpet trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Carpet Replacement - Rear Corner (Coupe) or Trim Panel Carpet Replacement - Rear Corner (Convertible) or Trim Panel Carpet Replacement - Rear Corner (Hardtop) in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the rear floor side stowage compartment cover.
  8. Install the taillamps.

    Tighten:  Tighten the taillamp mounting screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
