Installation Procedure

  1. Position the pocket.

  3. Install the screws attaching the filler neck to the pocket.
  4. Install the fuel cap.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the bolts attaching the fuel pocket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel filler pocket bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the fuel filler door. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Replacement .

  10. Install the nut attaching the fuel door release cable to the pocket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the release cable nut to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  12. Install the wheelhouse liner panel with the upper outer attaching bolt.
  13. Install the remaining upper bolts.
  14. Position the lower front corner of the wheelhouse liner panel behind the door opening finish panel and install the attaching bolt.
  15. Install the remaining wheelhouse liner panel bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the wheelhouse liner panel bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  16. Install the rear tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
