Installation Procedure

  1. Position the actuator.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the nut attaching the actuator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel filler door release actuator nut to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connection.
  5. Install the cable to the fuel pocket.
  6. Install the nut attaching the fuel filler door release cable to the fuel filler pocket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel filler door release cable nut to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  8. Install the wheelhouse liner panel with the upper outer bolt.
  9. Install the remaining upper bolts.
  10. Position the lower front corner of the wheelhouse liner panel behind the door opening finish panel and install the attaching bolt.
  11. Install the remaining bolts attaching the wheelhouse liner panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the wheelhouse liner panel bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  12. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  14. Reposition the rear floor carpet over the wheelhouse.
  15. Install the stowage compartment support trim panel.

  17. Install the side trim panel.
