Installation Procedure

  1. Install the adapter and bearing assembly to the steering jacket assembly.
    2. Fig 2: Steering Shaft Seal, Sensor Retainer, Sensor Assembly, Adapter & Bearing Assembly

  2. Install the following to the steering shaft:
    1. Adapter and bearing assembly (1)
      2. IMPORTANT: The steering shaft assembly must be rotated to the 12 o'clock position.
    2. Sensor assembly (2), refer to Steering Wheel Position Sensor Centering .
    3. Sensor retainer (3)
    4. Steering shaft seal (4)
  3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
