Installation Procedure

Install the muffler heat shield to the floor panel studs placing the muffler heat shield under the rear part of the converter heat shield.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Secure the muffler heat shield with 5 bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the exhaust muffler heat shield bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
Lower the vehicle.
