Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the water outlet.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the water outlet bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the water outlet bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the outlet radiator hose to the water outlet housing. Refer to RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (BODY VIN CODE 3)   or RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (BODY VIN CODE 6 LM4)   or RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (BODY VIN CODE 6 LL8)   .
  4. Install the power steering pump bracket. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP BRACKET REPLACEMENT  in Power Steering System.
