Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (BODY VIN CODE 6)   or  DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (BODY VIN CODE 3)   .
  2. Remove the PCM. Refer to POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
  3. Remove the harnesses from the engine harness bracket.
  4. Remove the bolt that secures the engine harness bracket and remove the bracket.

  5. Remove the coolant heater cord from the heater (2).

  6. Remove the coolant heater from the block.
