Removal Procedure

NOTE:
Refer to POWER STEERING HOSE DISCONNECTED NOTICE
in Cautions and Notices.
- Raise the vehicle and support with suitable safety stands. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in General Information.
- Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
- Remove the power steering hose assembly to the power steering gear retaining bolt.
- Disconnect the power steering hose assembly from the power steering gear.
- Remove the power steering return hose and power steering cooler hose from the power steering cooler.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Disconnect the fuse block wiring harnesses from the wiring loops.
- Remove the fuse block.
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the power steering hose assembly bracket retaining bolt at the wheel well.
- Disconnect the power steering hose assembly bracket from the wheel well.
- Remove the power steering hose assembly to frame brackets retaining bolts.
- Remove the power steering hose assembly to front crossmember bracket mounting bolt.
- Remove the power steering pressure hose (1) and power steering cooler hose (2) from the power steering pump.
- Remove the power steering hose assembly from the vehicle.
