Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, and 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT .
  2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - KNEE BOLSTER .
  3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster bezel, Chevrolet only. Refer to BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (CHEVROLET) or BEZEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (GMC/OLDSMOBILE) .

  4. Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT in Entertainment.
  5. Remove the 2 screws (1) from the bottom of the air outlet assembly.
  6. Remove the air deflectors from the outlet. Refer to AIR OUTLET REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
  7. Grasp and pull the outlet rearward from the I/P.

  8. Remove the outlet from the vehicle.
