Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Fig 1: Removing/Installing Exhaust Muffler Heat Shield

  3. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield rear 2 bolts where the catalytic converter heat shield connects to the muffler heat shield.
  4. Remove the remaining exhaust muffler heat shield bolts and remove the heat shield from the floor panel studs.
