Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the exhaust manifold heat shield with the 4 nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Install the oxygen sensor. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Position 1 in Engine Controls - 4.2L.
Install the oil level indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement
Install the secondary air injection (AIR) solenoid valve. Refer to Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.2L.
Install the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.2L.
