Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the right wheel drive shaft. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement in Wheel Drive Shafts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.
- Remove the wire harness clip from the intermediate shaft bearing assembly.
- Remove the intermediate shaft bearing assembly mounting bolts.
- Remove the intermediate shaft bearing assembly.
- Remove the actuator from the intermediate shaft bearing assembly.
IMPORTANT:
Do not nick or cut the inboard (oil pan) side inner shaft seal.
