Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the splash shield to the steering knuckle. Align the splash shield to the steering knuckle threaded holes.
  2. Install the wheel hub and bearing to the steering knuckle. Align the threaded holes.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the wheel hub and bearing to the steering knuckle mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the wheel hub and bearing mounting bolts to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).

  6. Install the ABS sensor to the wheel hub and bearing.
  7. Install the ABS sensor mounting bolt to the wheel hub and bearing.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ABS sensor to the wheel hub and bearing mounting bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  8. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Front in Disc Brakes.
  9. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  10. Lower the Vehicle.
