Power Steering Cooler Replacement (5.3L): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Place drain pan under vehicle.
  3. Remove the front facia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Rainier) or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Bravada) or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Envoy, Envoy XUV) or Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (TrailBlazer) in Bumpers.

  5. Disconnect the power steering cooler hoses from the power steering cooler.

  7. Remove the power steering cooler mounting bolts.

  9. Remove the power steering cooler from the radiator support.
