Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the inflator air switch harness from the air compressor.

  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) or to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Right (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Right (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) in Interior Trim.
  5. For the Envoy XUV only, remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Side (Envoy XUV) in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the inflator air switch from the vehicle.
