Removal Procedure

Remove the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
Disable the Park Brake Automatic Adjuster. Refer to Disabling the Park Brake Cable Automatic Adjuster .
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

Disconnect the park brake cables from the equalizer.
Lower the vehicle.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake warning lamp switch.

Remove the remaining park brake lever retaining nut.
Remove the park brake lever assembly from the vehicle.
