Installation Procedure

  1. Install the park brake lever assembly to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the right front park brake lever retaining nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the park brake lever mounting nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the park brake warning lamp switch.
  5. Raise the vehicle.

  7. Connect the park brake cables to the equalizer.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  10. Install the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  11. Enable the park brake automatic adjuster. Refer to Enabling the Park Brake Cable Automatic Adjuster .
