Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the transmission range selector cable to the bracket (2) and the lever. Refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable Replacement  .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Check the vehicle for proper operation. If adjustment of the cable is necessary, refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable Adjustment  .
