Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove the cap or tape from the evaporator core-auxiliary lines.
Install the new O-ring. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
Install the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary onto the evaporator core-auxiliary lines.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Using a back up wrench, install the flare nuts from the evaporator core-auxiliary lines to the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
Install the foam insulators to the evaporator core-auxiliary lines (3).
Install the foam insulators to the thermal expansion valve-auxiliary (4).
Install the evaporator core-auxiliary. Refer to Evaporator Core Replacement - Auxiliary .
