Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the right rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Right (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Right (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) in Interior Trim.
  2. Fig 1: Auxiliary HVAC Module

  3. Remove the retaining bolts (5) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1).
  4. Remove the retaining nuts (4) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3, 4).
  7. Remove the blower motor screws.
  8. Remove the blower motor (1) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).
