Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Lubricate the new seals and the outer surface area of the reservoir- to- housing barrels with Delco Supreme 11® GM P/N 12377967 Canadian P/N 992667 or equivalent DOT-3 bake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container.
Install the lubricated seals, make sure that the seals are fully seated in the brake master cylinder.

IMPORTANT: When performing the following service procedure, apply equal pressure to ensure proper seating of the reservoir and the pin holes are aligned.

Install the reservoir to the brake master cylinder.

Install the reservoir retaining pins.

Remove the brake master cylinder from the vise.
Install the brake master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement
