Installation Procedure

  1. Install the spare wheel hoist assembly to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts to the frame

    Tighten:  Tighten the spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts to the frame to 50 N.m (37 lb in).

  4. Install the spare tire to the spare tire carrier.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
