Installation Procedure

  1. Position the impact bar (1) assembly to the vehicle with an assistant.

  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts that retain the rear impact bar to the frame.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear impact bar bolts to 364 N.m (268 lb ft).

  4. Install the trailer/towing receptacle assembly to the bracket and rotate clockwise until fully seated.
  5. Connect the trailer/towing receptacle electrical connector.

  6. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper .
  7. Install the spare tire carrier. Refer to Tire Hoist and Shaft Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
