Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement (Envoy, Envoy XUV) , Grille Replacement (TrailBlazer) , Grille Replacement (Bravada) or Grille Replacement (Rainier) in Exterior Trim.
  2. Remove the 2 bolts that retain the top of the fascia to the headlamp housing panel.

  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  5. Remove the push-pins (3) that retain the fascia to the fascia support rods (2).
  6. Remove the fog lamps from the fascia. Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front (Rainier) , Fog Lamp Replacement - Front (Bravada) or Fog Lamp Replacement - Front (Envoy, Envoy XUV, TrailBlazer) in Lighting Systems.
  7. Remove the cornering lamps from the fascia. Refer to Cornering Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Remove the air deflector from the fascia. Refer to Air Deflector Replacement - Front Bumper Fascia .
  9. Release the body side attachment tabs and pull the fascia straight forward in order to remove the fascia from the vehicle.
